How long do the building materials last?
We use the following building materials, which with the general weather we have in cumbria, can
easily be expected to last for the following periods from new.
Cumbrian Slate, 50-100 years
Sheet metal, 20-50 years
Built up roofing (felt/flat roofing), 20-30 years
Marley/Redlands Tiles, 25-30 years.
Obviously, other materials will have different lifespans, and extreme weather conditions can
affect these figures.
